1. Buy New and Dispose of Old: Free service provided by retailers
When purchasing new REE appliances, retailers offer a one-to-one exchange service, taking away the corresponding old appliances. This service is arranged by the retailer's appointed collection contractor.
2. Free Appointment for Home Collection
If you need to dispose of old REE appliances without purchasing new ones, you can call the recycling hotline at 2676 8888 to make an appointment for free home collection provided by government-appointed contractors. You can also inquire via WhatsApp at 6081 5096 or 9227 3822.
3. Bring to "Green@Community" for Recycling
In addition to REE appliances, other small electrical appliances (such as rice cookers, ovens, fans, etc.) can be recycled at "Green@Community" collection points. By registering for the "Green Rewards" smart card or mobile app, you can accumulate points while recycling, with each electrical appliance equivalent to 10 points. Accumulated points can be redeemed for daily necessities (such as sugar, oil, instant noodles, etc.) or premium items (such as puzzles, towels, etc.).。
4. Donate Old Appliances
If your old appliances are in good condition and functioning properly, you can consider donating them to individuals in need or non-profit organizations. For example, you can donate old appliances to The Salvation Army, Caritas, or similar charitable organizations. This allows the old appliances to be effectively utilized and helps those in need.
